After a long winter, we can finally enjoy blooming trees and flowers everywhere. And the sun! Oh, how we missed the warmth of the sun. Time to go out again and enjoy the best events in New York in April 2019. Most of them are for free!

Events during the first week of April are mainly Easter themed and therefore perfect for families. From an Easter parade to several Easter egg hunts. Other events this month are mostly outdoors. Be prepared for fun activities such as a pillow fight at Washington Square Park or a Holi Festival in Brooklyn.

Description: The 9/11 Memorial & Museum invites everyone to their sixth annual 5K Run/Walk and Community event. If you want, you can register yourself as a running participant for only $45. Otherwise you can cheer on runners along the route and later on join the Community Day activities on Greenwich Street, close to the 9/11 Memorial. Suitable for families with children!
